We are Custom Integrators! Which means we specialize in home and commercial automation also known as smart home technologies. We build custom systems that can include but are not limited to TVs, speakers, entertainment spaces, theaters, security systems, lighting indoor and outdoor, motorized shades, and all and any other gadgets that can be added to automate one’s environment.

The ideal candidate is experienced in Control4 with Tech 2 certifications and has job site experience as a Lead Tech. Advanced troubleshooting of simple and complex systems for service jobs is a big plus. Experience with motorized shades and/or lighting is also a big plus. We offer Health Benefits and 401K. Duties

Installation:

• Read and understand plans and diagrams for the project.
• Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment needed for the project are in the company vehicle.
• Read and understand manufacturer’s instructions and manuals related to the programming.
• Program all products as per manufacturer’s instructions and clients’ plans.
• Quality controls installation to ensure everything works accurately.
• Complete all programming by priority.
• Keep personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; maintaining supplies; and reporting necessary maintenance as needed.
• Maintain an appropriate level of inventory on the truck; conduct a semi-annual physical count of inventory.
• Follow safety procedures by wearing protective clothing and gear.

Administration:

• Maintain proper notes and admin on projects and file them in the project folder and in I Point.
• Document installation actions by completing forms.
• Keep notes on what has been done on each job.
• File client tickets once service is complete.
• Record time and materials used on the job.
• Maintain the company vehicle as per Hive policies.

Communication:

• Maintain communication with the Project Manager to keep them informed of project progress.
• Work with the Warehouse Coordinator to ensure needed materials and equipment are properly predicted to avoid wasted production minutes.

Education and/or Experience

• Has a High School Diploma or GED and is Control4 certified.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Able to work quickly under pressure without supervision.
• Able to understand technical diagrams and manuals.
• Good knowledge of home automation and technology.
• Awareness of electrical, mechanical, and chemical health and safety issues.
• Physically fit and understands appropriate lifting techniques.
• Possesses a clean driving license.

Minimal Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly detailed, organized, and multitask-driven.
• Clean driving record and background check (required for DCJS certification).

Key Job Responsibilities

• Complete complex audio/video installs, setup, and calibration.
• Control system design (control/lighting/shading) and theater room installation.
• Advanced networking/data system design, installation, and setup.
• Advanced understanding of camera installation and security/surveillance system programming and design.
• Advanced understanding of audio single-room and multi-room solutions.

Job Description

• Residential/commercial New construction and retrofit low voltage prewire experience.
• Requires excellent communication skills.
• Experience installing a/v equipment, TVs, cameras, speakers, wifi access points.
• Security specialist is a bonus especially DSC
• Knows how to “program” camera systems is a bonus… NVR and IP cameras… not DVR and Analog cameras.
• Can build and wire “server”/ “final equipment” racks is a bonus
• Can mount Shades is a bonus.

Installation:

• Follow safety procedures by wearing protective clothing and gear.

Administration:

• Maintain proper notes and admin on projects in Hive’s iPoint database.
• Document installation actions by completing forms.
• Record time and materials used on the job.
• Maintain company vehicle as per Hive policies.

Communication:

• Maintain communication with Project Manager to keep him informed of project progress.

The Sales Consultant is directly responsible for securing new business. He/she is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales quotas/goals, maintaining a continuous prospecting system, and maintaining current knowledge of all products, services and sales skills. Responsible for closing mid to large-scale residential and commercial integrated systems with clients as well as generating client proposals, presentations, and engineering documents.

Use all available resources (Referrals, Leads, Cold Calls, etc.) and maintain an ongoing prospecting activity and system to identify and contact new prospects for expanding the prospect base within the assigned territory. We currently use iPoint for our software.

Candidates will possess strong character, excellent sales skills, and a great attitude!

Job Requirements

• Preferred 1-3 years of experience in outside sales of A/V or Home Automation with an emphasis on new account acquisition. We recently started a lighting division (indoor & outdoor) and would love to have a dedicated sales consultant for lighting.
• Willingness to work hard, demonstrate perseverance, determination, and self-discipline.
• Previous experience selling to Builders
• Out-of-pocket expenses (mileage) will be reimbursed within reason.
• Compensation is based on salary plus commission and/or bonus.
• Salary and commission commensurate with experience.
